Tommy Gate G2 Dual Drive Liftgates for Service/Utility Bodies are the next generation lifts with their heavy-duty, dual-cylinder design which fits most service and utility body applications.  They have a lifting capacity of 1600 lbs.  The dual hydraulic cylinders – one on each side of the platform – ensure a stable, even and smooth lift for your cargo.

FEATURES

1. Streamlined uprights maximize the clear opening into the truck’s bed.
2. Each G2 series liftgate features a lockable platform latch (lock included).
3. The cover can be removed with platform up or down.
4. The Main Frame Box contains the electrical and hydraulic systems:  (a) Full-size pump and motor unit, (b) a Pressure Relief Valve helps prevent overloading the platform, (c) Cylinder-mounted Flow Control Valves prevent rapid uncontrolled platform descent in the event of a hose failure
5. License plate mount is recessed into the Main Frame Box.

Additionally, the liftgate platform can be “dropped-down” for direct access into the truck bed.  Hard chrome-plated lift arm pins and composite bushings reduce the need for maintenance.  See Specifications section for other features.

The Treadplate Steel (TP) models with sizes and capacities are shown in the table below.  Gate Width (outside uprights) is 55″ and Clear Opening (inside uprights) is 49″.  Platform Travel is 42″.  Each liftgate has dual cylinders.
